Traditional Sacred Valley Tour
The three big names of the valley — Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero — plus the Taray viewpoint and a buffet lunch.
The five-site morning for travelers heading on to Machu Picchu: pickup at 06:20, Chinchero, the Maras salt mines, Moray, lunch in Urubamba and an hour in Ollantaytambo. The day ends there at 15:30, at the Archaeological Park, 15 minutes on foot from the station. Pisac is not visited, and it costs US$1 less than the version with the return to Cusco.

The Maras salt pans: thousands of small pools on a hillside, harvested by hand.
Included
Moray’s rings of terraces, where each level sits at a slightly different temperature.
Included
A weaving demonstration in Chinchero before the Inca terraces and the colonial church.
IncludedTimes from our regular departures. Traffic and weather can shift them a little, and the order of stops may change slightly.
Your guide picks you up from your hotel, Airbnb or a meeting point in the historic center. The early start is what makes room for five sites in one day.
Follow alpaca fleece through a weaving family’s hands — spun into yarn, dyed with plants, woven on a waist loom — then walk through the Inca terraces and the colonial church.

The circular terraces the Incas used to test crops, seen from the rim and walked with your guide, before the drive down to lunch.

More than 3,000 salt pools on one hillside, fed by a single salty spring and still worked by local families.

Andean buffet at Rustica — or at 14 Inkas, Don Ángel or Tunupa if you upgraded when you booked.

Climb the fortress-temple terraces to the Temple of the Sun with your guide. The tour ends after this visit.

Here the Super day ends. Pick up your carry-on at the Park entrance storage and walk down to the station.
About 1 km and 15 minutes on foot through the Plaza de Armas and Avenida Ferrocarril. Trains that fit: Inca Rail 16:36 (boarding 16:06) and PeruRail 19:00 (boarding 18:30).
Entrance tickets: add the Tourist Ticket and the Maras entrance to your booking in the Add-ons step of the checkout, or pay them in cash (soles) on the day. Which ticket do I need?
Coming back to Cusco instead? The Super Sacred Valley with the return costs US$32 and adds Pisac in the late afternoon, with drop-off in central Cusco around 19:00. From the tour to your train: walking to the station, leaving early, luggage →
See the Super with return →The earlier you cancel, the more comes back to you.
Usually possible with reasonable notice and seats on the new date.
If we can’t operate, you choose a new date or a refund.
US$31 per person with lunch at Rustica, one dollar less than the same route with the return to Cusco. Lunch upgrades: 14 Inkas US$35, Don Ángel US$46 and Tunupa US$51. Entrance tickets are paid separately.
The Super route reaches Ollantaytambo at 14:15, after Chinchero, Maras, Moray and lunch, and the tour closes there at 15:30, at the Archaeological Park. From the Park the station is about 1 km away: a 15-minute walk, or some 5 minutes by car if the station street is not jammed.
After a 06:20 start you have two comfortable options: Inca Rail at 16:36 and PeruRail at 19:00. For a departure between 15:15 and 16:35, leave the group early, at least one hour before your train. Anything earlier than 15:15 is too tight even then: move your ticket or spend the night in the valley. Leaving early does not change the price: it stays at US$31.
Chinchero, the Maras salt mines, Moray, lunch in Urubamba and Ollantaytambo. Pisac is not visited; that is the difference with the version that returns to Cusco.
Travel light: a personal backpack or a carry-on. You get off the tour vehicle with everything when the group arrives in Ollantaytambo — the backpack stays on your back and the carry-on goes into the luggage storage at the Archaeological Park entrance. On your way to the train you pick it up yourself, at 15:30 or earlier; the guide does not hold or deliver luggage.
