Traditional Sacred Valley Tour
The three big names of the valley — Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero — plus the Taray viewpoint and a buffet lunch.
Dry season, rainy season and the months in between — what each one looks like on the day, and what to bring.
The most reliable time for a Sacred Valley day trip is the dry season, roughly May to September, with clear skies and cold mornings. June to August is also the busiest period, so book earlier. From about November to March, the rainy season brings greener landscapes, fewer travelers and frequent showers. Tours run every day of the year.
April and October are transition months: a mix of both.
A general guide: weather in the Andes can change from one day to the next.

Mornings are cold, especially on the plateau at Chinchero (3,762 m) and in the dry months. Afternoons on the valley floor are usually mild, so dress in layers.
Both run all year. The Traditional starts an hour later and spends more time on the valley floor; Super Sacred Valley spends the morning on the open plateau. Compare the two routes.
